Goyt Valley 1 - Whaley Bridge Circular

The first of our walks exploring the valley of the River Goyt, a circular walk from Whaley Bridge Station. The walk starts heading up past Toddbrook Reservoir. Damage to the auxiliary spillway after heavy rain in 2019 forced the evacuation of 1500 residents from Whaley Bridge. The reservoir is currently being refilled after major renovations. We then head along the side of the Goyt Valley along the Midshires Way to Fermilee Reservoir before heading back to Whaley Bridge by the River Goyt.
