Coach ramble (3 walks) Bolton-le-Sands/Warton to Arnside (change from programme)

**Sadly, we were unable to recce the programmed August Walk in West Yorkshire due to fires on the moors around our planned route and the resulting closure of the Woodhead Pass. Hopefully, we will be able to programme this walk in for Autumn.** The 'A' walk of 11.5 miles with 1335 ft of ascent, will start in Bolton-le-Sands, heading north along the coastal path, past Carnforth to Warton. It then climbs Warton Crag and, subsequently Heald Brow before arriving at Silverdale. We then skirt round the town and head up Arnside Knott. After taking in the stunning views over the estuary and the Lake District, we descend into our final destination of Arnside. The 'B' walk of either 8.35 miles with 1238 ft of ascent or 8.8 miles with 965 ft of ascent, starts in the village of Warton and climbs to the summit of Warton Crag. From here, it follows the same roads and paths as the 'A' walk, up Heald Brow to Silverdale. Walkers then have the choice to take the longer but flatter coastal route into Arnside or the shorter but steeper path up to the viewpoint on Arnside Knott before descending into Arnside. The 'C' walk will be between 5 and 6 miles and will also end in Arnside. Details of the walks can be found by clicking on the website link below (to dropbox.com)
