We're part of the Manchester and High Peak Area of the Ramblers, with around 300 friendly members who love exploring the great outdoors together.

## Our Location

Our location gives us easy access to some of Britain's finest walking country — the **Peak District**, **Lake District**, **North Wales**, and **Yorkshire Dales** are all within reach.

## Joining a Walk

You can just turn up on the day — no need to book. We do set off promptly at the start time, so please try to be there at least 10-15 minutes early.

It's advisable to carry a drink and a snack, and on longer walks bring a picnic. Wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather.

## How to Join

You're welcome to try a few walks before deciding whether to join. When you're ready, become a member through the [Ramblers website](https://www.ramblers.org.uk/) — just select *Bolton Group (MR1)* as your local group.
